Sofa Day Dream

I think it’s about time to look into getting a new couch. We usually just thrift one from the goodwill or whatever, but I haven’t had the best luck finding a good one these days. So instead of doing something productive (like update the shop) I’m sitting here daydreaming pretty fantasy sofas, with mismatched pillows, white fur throws and retro magazine racks.

Indeed, that pinkish colour is awesome! You remind me that I promised to make a load of cushions for our new couch. I somehow keep forgetting that (or putting it off, I have to admit), but looking at these pictures I feel all inspired to actually start sewing. THanks :-)

Me too, Aya! Haha! I mapped out how much time it would take for us to save for the Room & Board sofa I want, and if we were really diligent and scrimped in other areas, it would take us over two years. Sigh. Too bad thrifted sofas are never as comfortable or hold up as well.
When you thrift sofas do you usually have to reupholster them or do you find ones that are in pretty good condition as they are?

I’ve been couch shopping too! The first one is from urban, right? I was thinking of getting that until a friend of mine told me it’s horribly hard– she used to have it and loved the looks, but it was just a pain to rest on. That style is so lovely, but others like it are so pricey. My husband is just going to build one this week because we can’t seem to find one quite like it!
I like the black fleck couch, but i’d be weary of urban outfitters furniture.
