I Want Texture!

Wearing: Cardigan C/O Romwe | Vintage 50s dress, belt and shoes

I’m such an enormous fan of texture. I love it to be on pretty much anything.. in art and photography, design and decorating… when I was thinking that, I realized I do not place enough texture in my outfits. So now my goal for pairings this year, is to really consider textures when putting together an outfit…  mix my patterns, shapes and colors for more interest to the eye.

I grew up thinking we wear clothes to keep our bodies warm, so I feel like I am coming at this from a strategic angle… but I know I’ll figure it all out some day. Ok, not really… but I’ll have fun along the way.

Did you colour your hair? I like. This whole look makes me think of Enid Blyton The Fab four . I love texture in everything as well, it gives things a different perspective, depth.

Yes, I did :) I tried this brunette after I dyed it a light strawberry blonde… and this is the result! I hope it comes out this red after I dye it again… hehe!

  9. Wonderful as always. I love textures and patterns and such a lot too. It makes an outfit more fun to not just have plain cloth.

  10. Laura says:

Lady, you look way too lovely! I’m envious – that dress is incredible. Love the textures you’ve used in this outfit. I’m a big fan of wearing textured clothing, like big, chunky cardigans – they’re so cozy, and add visual interest. I know what you mean about feeling like you’re “strategizing” – I do the same thing when I try to incorporate neutrals into my usually very colorful outfits. But strategizing can be a way of expanding your creativity :)

There is nothing better than a fuzzy sweater. They look great, and they are always nice and warm.

  27. I am definitely diggin’ these two textures you chose to combine here, I would of picked up that sweater too almost just to feel its fluffy texture! And that green dress, my my my. There aren’t that many pretty green dresses about! That one is a sweet little winner there. You look like you came out of a story book Aya! Everything is coordinated to some extent. Even your hair, belt and shoes match the same-ish colour! This makes me so happy ^_^
Yaay keep on making more winner outfits please!

    Good luck to you!
