Have many of you tried Blood Oranges? I remember some years back, they were almost unheard of in my area. My husband took me to his hometown in Washington (state) to visit his mother, and he was shocked that I had never heard of them before when we saw some at Pikes Place Market. After I tried one then, I desperately searched the grocery stores back in good ol’ Indiana for more… without luck, of course. Fortunately for me, they are much more common recently, and once or twice a year I can find them at the local markets. They. Are. To. Die. For. Especially a fresh, juicy good one… they are sweet like oranges, but slightly more tangy like a grapefruit. UGH, I’m salivating now.
