WHAT IS VINTAGE?
The technical definition of vintage, is something that has aged 20 to 100 years. Vintage clothing and items can be used, new from dead stock, manufactured and/or handmade.
The definition of vintage is also fluid, meaning every decade brings forth new items as “vintage”. It is also important to understand that all vintage will eventually become antique, which is at least 100 years in age.
WHY REUSE VINTAGE?
There are so many wonderful reasons for wearing and reusing vintage. Recycling in every form is safe and best for the environment, and the same could be said for what you wear and how you decorate your home. Vintage is also typically made with higher quality, after all, it has withstood time this long. You save money in the long run, and you get a good history lesson by becoming acquainted with authentic vintage pieces.
